Katherine Lee
Katherine Lee is a Master’s degree student in Art and Design Education in the Teaching + Learning in Art + Design Department at RISD. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design from RISD, bringing both studio and academic perspectives to her investigation in higher education.
Her research investigates the unique challenges of part-time faculty in design departments, and how a design thinking-led approach can serve as a framework for creative pedagogical support for part-time design faculty. Katherine’s research supports faculty resource development, improved student learning experiences, and building stronger channels of dialogue between students and educators. Beyond her academic work, she enjoys travel photography, baking, and reviewing lip balms.
